The Investment Strategy Canadians Are Using South of the Border
Built for Connection, Community & Collaboration

Hi,
Before we jump in, can I please ask for a quick favour? As my involvement with various businesses expands, I want to ensure that I am only sending you updates that are of interest. Please take this 30-second survey to personalize your experience. Thank you.
People often ask me why I use humour when I MC or facilitate.
Here’s why: Laughter builds trust.
It drops our defences, pulls us into the present, and opens the door to real connection. And in a room full of strangers or even experienced professionals, that can make all the difference.
Believe it or not, I’ve learned more from watching stand-up comedy than I have from some business books. Timing. Flow. Reading the room. Knowing when to go big and when to pause.
As an MC, speaker, or coach, my job is to connect. Humour is one of the fastest ways to do that. It’s not about getting laughs. It’s about creating a moment where people feel something real, together.
Whether it’s a conference, fundraiser, or investor event, I bring that intention with me every time I step up to the mic.
Make it a great week
Alfonso

Why Canadians Are Investing in Rent-to-Own in the U.S.

This month, I am attending two powerful real estate events, one in Kansas City, the other in Arizona, where I am speaking about a strategy that’s also gaining traction with Canadians: investing in rent-to-own in the U.S.
The appeal? Lower property prices, strong tenant demand, and the ability to create win-win outcomes for families who can’t yet qualify for traditional financing.
I wrote about why more Canadians are looking at rent-to-own for investing a few weeks ago on my blog here.
Did you see the current US investing opportunity I sent out earlier this week? If not, here it is - Kansas City Lease Option.
Where’s Alfonso?
On September 17th, I’ll be honoured to MC the 2nd Annual You’re My Everything Fundraiser and Concert in Maple, Ontario.

This event has meaning for me beyond the incredible lineup with live performances from Elisa Rose, Bruno Nesci, and Frankie Cimino. This event stands for celebrating and supporting children with autism and their families through Surrey Place.
Check out my recent conversation with the host and organizer, Elisa Rose.
If you’re local or looking for an inspiring night out with live music, community, and purpose, I’d love to see you there.
I Was Thinking……
Hosting an event is kind of like serving in tennis.
You’ve got one chance to make the right first move, to set the tone, apply pressure (the good kind), and get the room engaged from the very beginning.
You can’t win the match on the first serve, but you can lose momentum if you start on the wrong foot.
That’s why I approach every event like it’s game point: fully present, focused, and ready to rally with the audience.
